The perfect finale. After the disappointment of losing the White Rose Final, Bowls Hampshire U25s were determined to make amends in the Junior Home Counties Final at Egham against our old foe Bowls Kent today. The boys got out of the blocks quickly to lead 13 - 9 at 5 ends and stretching to 27 - 14 at 10 ends. But Kent were not going to go out with a fight, as they looked to get revenge for being beaten by Hampshire at the area final of the White Rose earlier in the year, and by 15 ends had not only closed the gap but led by a single shot

Ends were traded back and forth and at 20 ends Kent still held that single shot lead. But Hampshire were not going to be denied retaining the trophy, with the rink skipped by captain Reece Graham picking up a timely 4 shots, to give Hampshire a slender 3 shot lead, it left the rinks skipped by Luke Bell and Dan Cookman to hold their nerve, which they all did, dropping and gaining single shots respectively, giving Hampshire a well earned 56 - 53 victory
